Who is Daniel Cure?

I write. I write! Through snow, ice, wind, fog, sun baked fields and deserted wilderness, I write. Though I work in the day and sleep at night, I write!

The pain, the joy, the despair, the hope, I write!

For sport, politics, news, weather, war, famine, life and death, I write!

The art of the blog, the vlog, the blessay, the microfeed, I write!

But...for every poem, letter, joke, quote and witticism, there is the novel...

And for the art of the novel, especially the historical novel, I write!

It would be presumptious of me to expect all visitors to this site to know exactly who I am, so it would pay at this point to give you a quick biography!

I was born in Worcester in 1980 and educated at both R.G.S Worcester and Droitwich High School, before studying marketing at Plymouth University. It was whilst in Australia in 2003 that I finally began work on my first novel. On return from the trip, I continued to work through the story and, by the summer of 2004, I had completed a draft copy of The Road to Inheritance.

I spent a couple of months attempting to drum up interest in the book and eventually managed to arrange its publication through Trafford, a print-on-demand company based in Canada.

Without wishing to stand idle, I began work on the sequel, a supernatural themed novel, entitled Raphael that would provide a new adventure for Will Monohue.

Having finished Raphael, I soon contemplated a change of direction and an alternative source of content.During the summer of 2005, I began to develop a number of ideas I had been toying with for some time relating to the development of a historical series. After some thought, I decided upon the period in which I would set my stories and, within a few short weeks, I had the plans in place for a seven part medieval heptalogy...enter Jack Templeman.

Book one in the series, entitled The Silver Knight was completed in 2008 and is now published and available in both paperback and hardback. Book two is currently in working progress...
